Review of the Year: 2009

Officially billed as The Year of the Hen / Gig / Thirty (hengirty) this is the edited highlights of my 2009. Memory Girl is go...
  • Baby turns two
  • Power of Three
  • The come back of all come backs inspires our own come back of all come backs. Celebrate with sambuca & a tramp fight
  • Minions carry out my wishes by attempting to kidnap El Coxo at SXSW
  • Reviving the FAF tag for Maximo Park
  • Neon Angel raves on with The Prodigy
  • Listening to beautiful, beautiful new Graham album played live in full
  • Fat Girls do Liverpool
  • Local elections
  • Road Trip to t'North. Carlisle, Edinburgh and Newcastle.
  • Epic Visionaries
  • (online) life-changing LocalGovCamp
  • Team RFGR go neon for Katie's Midnight Walk
  • Thumbs Up girls return to Manchestaaaaarrr for The Circus where we discover the thirst quenching potential of a cherry tomato and end up soaking wet (rain) and braless (alright, just me) when TT take to stage
  • Mosh death imminent at Blur in Hyde Park so may as well give Damon a 'let loosing'
  • Pig flu - try to recover by staggering 5k with Fat Girls for Race for Life. End up with chest infection.
  • Freakin' Out at the moment I cease being twenty-something
  • GoogleGovCamp at the GoogleCave
  • Leeds '09 - primarily spent stylin' it round the tent
  • Panda Panda Panda. Oh, no Panda. (still no love for Sunwin Fiat Derby although lots for my Skoda)
  • Florence (& The Machine)
  • Launching the Social Media Cafe
  • Big Arms for Brookside's Tinhead playing Howard in Never Forget
  • Road trip to t'North: Castle & Edinburgh. Long journey home allows in depth discussion about pros / cons of Robbie rejoining Take That (no consensus reached)
  • LocalGovCamp Lincoln
  • A week on The Crow Road
  • Four years of being Mrs DeadApprentice
  • Hen Do
  • Thanks for all your hard work; here's an award (FTW!) and a pay cut (oh)
  • Starting something so childish and yet fiendishly brilliant (and secret)
  • More SMC goodness
  • A big slice of Ocean Pie with Shed Seven
  • Team Bridesmaid get a go order and complete Mission Mackenzie wedding
  • And breathe....
This year has been about friends and progress and, hopefully, laying foundations on which to build in 2010.

I'm loving my husband (more than ever), son and Thumbs Up girls. I'm also loving the move from being online acquaintance to offline friend as well.

Next year won't get a smooth start but we're still flying - and that's enough.
